Our seventh auction had over 30 bidders, 25 were successful and of the 119 lots offered, all but 18 were sold. Several members made some nice additions to their collections at bargain prices.
There were several ties, In that case the lot went to the earliest bid received (if by mail, the postmark mailing date). There were some hot lots, those generated maximum bids of 3, 4 times the opening bid. A couple of the lots received 7 or 8 bids. The best news is that this donation auction generated a Society donation of $2,000 that represent more than the dues of 50 memberships.
